Together with my partner, we decided to test the pho soup in the restaurant. The soup was ok, tasty and fresh, but the interior of the restaurant is not inspiring. The room was pretty cold and not cosy. The service was polite, but not too helpful. The restroom was dirty. I can only recommend the venue if the interior doesn't matter.

I dropped in on a weekday at lunchtime. The restaurant was empty and looked quite shabby. Later a few people came to take away some dishes. I must admit I liked the food they served, but that's all. The drink I got was more expensive than the one I picked from the menu. The soup was much hotter than I was told, I asked my summer rolls with a lot of coriander which I surprisingly got separately, but what was most disappointing was the bill - it turned out that I had to pay ca 40% more than I'd expected.

This was near empty on a Friday night when I went there, but it was admittedly a hot summer night when many are away. (The long-standing Indian across the road didn't fare any better in terms of custom that night). The restaurant was previously the local Chinese, but had been dormant for many years.
The start was not encouraging given the very sloppy service. No-one greeted on arrival and, in fact, a menu was actually brought to me by a diner/guest. Sorry, but there are no other words to describe the level of service - hopeless.
The menu is not as varied in some other Vietnamese restaurants although the stock traditional items are there. This may be because the restaurant is competing to be "affordable suburban" rather than an "elite ethnic" restaurant, if that makes sense.
Both dishes I had were without fault and totally as expected, although as they came out at the same time (the service issue) my main course was not hot. Authentic food prepared by Vietnamese chefs, in other words.
The plus items here were quality and price (incredibly cheap); the negatives were the lack of ambience, poor service and the very strange restaurant format (to be fair, this is as inherited - there are two dining areas in a L-shaped arrangement. The wet areas looked as though they hadn't been touched since the days of the Chinese restaurant though!).
