The bar opened in a long-abandoned apartment building, and mainly targets young people with its affordable prices and ruin-pub-like features. Hungry guests can choose an EXTRA burger!

Egy rendezvényen voltam ezen a helyen. Nagyon tetszik, hogy egy régi épületet így megmentettek. A belső decor is nagyon szuper. A rendezvényen az első kör kaja nagyon gyorsan elfogyott, és nagyon lassan érkezett azutánpótlás. Viszont maga a hely nagyon kellemes és kreatív.

Éhesen sétáltunk az utcán,konkrét elképzelés nélkül,mikor leszólított az utcán egy bűbájos hölgy. Annyira kedves volt,hogy hallgattunk rá és az Extrába ültünk be vacsorázni. Nagyon tetszett a hely az egész családnak,ahogy átalakították az öreg épületet,volt mit mesélnünk a gyerekeknek. A kiszolgálás korrekt volt,az ételekre rengeteget kellett várni,de nem számítottunk rá,hogy ilyen finomak lesznek. Isteni vacsit kaptunk,jól éreztük magunkat.

A hely klassz belül, a zene a szokásos tucat. Kedves, de nagyon lassú kiszolgálás, volt hogy 1 órát vártunk egy körre. A kaja nem rossz, ahhoz képest hogy nem étterem. A felső szinten elképesztő meleg van.

Januárban látogattuk a helyet néhány barátommal. Finom pezsgőket és proseccocat kóstoltunk. Ha jól emlékszem Alex (?) volt az alkalmazott, aki nagyon ügyesen kezelte a túl sok pezsgőt nyelő, hisztis vendéget. Ezúton is köszi neki! :)

4. Alkalommal voltam a barati tarsasagommal az EXTRA nevu helyen, ami lehetne extrabb mint a tobbi hasonlo hely, de sajnos nem az. A hely maga hangulatos, a belso udvar kialakitas eleg trendi es mellette a kis "szoba" szeruseg helyek is jok. Az etelek finomak es a valasztek se rossz. Az aruk kicsit dragabb mint az atlagos helyeken, de meg belefer. Ami kifejezetten nem tetszik a helyen, hogy mind a negy alkalommal, amikor ott voltam volt valami problema a kiszolgalassal. 1. Alkalom egy sima sorozes volt meg 2015-ben, amikor mindig a kozpontba levo pulthoz kellett menni, hogy egy sort kerjunk, mivel a pincert nem nagyon ertuk el. 2. Alkalom a Barca-Juventus Bl donto volt, amikor a kedvezmenyes csirke szarny hirdetesukkel nem voltam megelegedve. Eloszoris nem volt finom, mert szinte csak egy nagy BBQ szoszbol allt az egesz, madoszor pedig, egy masik baratom is azt rendelt es o kapott hozza zeller es repa csikokat ami mindenkeppen dobott az etelen. Szoval azert erdekes, hogy en mi alapjan nem kaptam. 3. Alkalom Magyar-Roman europbajnoki selejtezo volt, amikor elso alkalommal voltam a jobb oldali belso szobaban. A meccs mar elkezdodott, de a Tv-vel valami gond volt, amit kb a meccs 10.percbe tudtak megoldani... Majd a pincer holgy kb felorankent nezett felenk... 4. Alkalom Real-Atletico Bl donto elozo hetvegen. Sajnos elfelejtettem milyen negativ elmenyeink voltak a helynel igy megint oda foglaltunk asztalt es megint a jobb oldali belso reszen kaptunk helyet. Elso problemank, hogy rettento meleg volt, szinte elviselhetetlenul. Masodik problemank megint a kiszolgalas. A pincer kedves volt nagyon, de miutan felvette a rendelest es kihozta azt egyszer se nezett felenk...pedig rendeltunk volna meg italt. Az etelek nagyon lassan keszulnek el. Szoval valoszinuleg nem csak rosszkor voltam eppen ott, mert 4bol 4szer voltak problemaim. De szerencsere ezek a problemak orvosolhatoak es remelhetoleg javitanak rajta, mivel nagyon jo kis hely tudna lenni.

Happened upon this, after a few cocktails and something light to eat. Staff were great, I had two lovely cocktails, fries and some nachos. We will be returning before we go home!

As I say we went here in the daytime to look around for the 'Ruin' bars just to see them, not thinking anything would be open. The area is a bit run down and closed looking during the day but you can see how the night might have livened the area up later. This place was open so we went in for a beer. A couple of old geezers popping in for a beer at lunchtime we didn't expect too much but we were made to feel very welcome by all the staff there, The place was really good and you could quite easily get the feel of how it would be buzzing later full of young geezers drinking and enjoying the music. At no time did we feel out of place, as it was lunchtime with no one else there, but the staff were more than happy to chat to us and let us know what it would be like later. Well worth a visit either as old geezers wanting to see the 'RUIN' bars in the comfort of the daytime, and most definitely by whoever frequented it in the evening.

We got to extra after we read reviews here and it’s as most of the visitors said, The food is very good, the Service is very good, the staff is responsive and nice. The extra burger is excellent... if you got the time try it

Dropped by for an afternoon drink, attracted by the umbrellas adorning the entrance. Interesting building, looked like it is set up for the evening trade rather than lunchtimes. As a result little atmosphere, and maybe needs to decide exactly what it is? nightclub/bar or restaurant?

We went there after a long day at work and we ate a “soup” that was delicious. After that we drank few beers and some “palika” The staff are very friendly and helpful I will definitely come back in my next visit in Budapesta

They offer a great value lunch, it is some 4EUR for three course menu. It starts at noon, but available for limited number of people. We have been coming here for lunch a while to grab lunch, the staff is nice and the food is above average. Usually meatful dishes, only one choice for lunch.

We were greeted by really lovely staff who couldn't do more for you. The drinks list is extensive, but I'd recommend a cocktails if you're into that, the pornstar martini is gorgeous! The venue is cute, and it feels a lot more like an actual bar compared to other ruin bars! It was pretty quiet when we visited so it's hard to talk about the atmosphere, but I loved the chilled vibe to the place. Would have loved to visit on the weekend when it was busier!

I had lunch today at Extra, which is an interesting place. It’s basically a bar in the middle of some buildings that look like they are falling down. But, in the courtyard, there are several outdoor seats, as well as a canopy of red umbrellas with lights in them for the evening. I am assuming that this is a nightlife type of place, as they have a wall full of jagermeister as you enter the inside of the establishment as well as a full bar. It was pretty intimidating to go in, as the staff wasn’t exactly overly friendly when I arrived, and I was one of about 7 people total in the establishment that wasn’t what appeared to be a staff member. Although, to their credit, the young guy that sat me at my table was very polite, but just not overly friendly, and not speaking Magyar, any restaurant you go to in Budapest will be intimidating. I ordered the Wiener schnitzel. The schnitzel was a large portion, it was done just right, not too much breading, not soaked in oil being deep fried, and not fried too much to make the cutlet dry. It was just right. I wouldn’t say that there was anything extraordinary about it, but it was a solid main course, with no frills. It came served on a bed of cold potato salad. I don’t know why I found this interesting, but I was pleased with the fact that at least my whole meal wasn’t all deep fried. It had a creamy base to it, and the potatoes were done just right, not to firm/crunchy, and not crumbly from being overdone. Again, it was a very solid side, but again wasn’t anything extraordinary as to say that absolutely had to have it again. But, nonetheless it was a solid lunch. It was a bit disappointing that it wasn’t very busy in the place. It was very beautiful out, and not very hot or humid, and great to be able to be outside. As I sat near the front door, there were a few people that would walk in, but seeing no one in the front atrium and no one greeting people to invite them in, the people that did come in turned around and most likely went somewhere else. Which is a shame, because the place is kind of cool, with solid food. The most remarkable part of the meal was the Hungarian rose wine I had. It was crisp, dry, and a perfect compliment to an otherwise solid but ordinary lunch meal. In all, I am glad that I stopped in. The atmosphere has a lot going on for it. I think a bit more attention to the service level, and something to really make traditional dishes stand out would make the place a gold mine. I’m sure it’s a popular place to go at night, but I’m not certain the same can be said for the daytime. I leave that review to someone who has been there in the evening. All in all, Extra, needs to do more “extra.” The food was solid, but not remarkable, and the service was polite, but relatively absent.

Dropped in here for a cocktail and a snack on our walking tour around the Jewish District. They have a vast list of cocktails. I had a piña colada - delicious! I also had the goulash- which was very nice. The outside decor is fitted out with quirky umbrellas on the ceiling. The service was also great- would thoroughly recommend.
