Az étterem a forgalmas főút és egy csendes macskaköves utca találkozásánál, a Bazilika dombjának lábánál bújik meg. Kellemes, meghitt helyecske, mely még a régi világot, a letűnőben lévő hagyományokat őrzi. Stílusára és ízvilágára is inkább a hagyományőrzés jellemző, és ezt magas színvonalon teszik. Kitűnő ételeket jó áron kaphatunk itt. A rutinos, profi kiszolgálás teszi igazán emlékezetessé az itt töltött időt. Mi kétszemélyes tálat rendeltünk itt vacsorára (ketten), és a kihozott hússzelet-hegyvonulatból nemcsak aznap este falatozunk kiadósat, hanem még másnap reggelire is jutott belőle. Megérte betérni.

Kirándulás alkalmával pont ezt az éttermet találtuk. Pontosan azt kaptuk, amit vártunk: finom ételek, nagy adagok, gyors kiszolgálás. Nagyon tetszett, hogy bár eldugott helynek tűnik, mégis közel van mindenhez, és bár kissé zajos a terasz része a közeli forgalmas utcától, a kellemes kialakítás és a hangulat kárpótol érte.

Az étterem nagyon jó helyen van, egész napos városnézés alatt jártunk itt gyerekekkel. A mennyiséggel, árakkal nem volt gond. Viszont az ételek túl fűszeresek voltak, emiatt a gyereknek nemízlett. Másrészt szárított zöldfűszereket használnak, ami elég zavaró, ha sok van benne az ételben. A mosdó tisztaságával sem voltam elégedett.

English below. Meglepett minket, hogy vasárnap is kínálnak menüt bazilika mellett. Brassóit ettünk almás-mákos rétessel, bőségesen elég volt. A rétes nagyon finom volt. Jó ár-érték arányú ebéd volt. A pincérek kedvesek voltak, szép kártyát elfogadnak. We were surprised to find a cheap restaurant with daily offer next to the church. We had a decent meal with dessert and homemade lemonade. The elder waiter was very kind and polite.

The food here is delicious. I ordered beef stew with corn polenta, yummy! The staff is very friendly and nice. We had a great late lunch. This place only accepts cash. I recommend you try the beef stew. :)

During our day trip to Esztergom we were looking for some local decent food. We found it here. Both of the main courses were good and tasty. Local white wine was also decent. Prices were reasonable, but the portions? MASSIVE. Even when we were extremely hungry and on a daily basis we can eat a lot, we did not manage to finish our main courses. Take it into consideration when ordering food! :)

Those exploring Esztergom Basilica can be easily persuaded to overspend on lunch at the restaurant on the grounds. However, a short walk down the hill is Fili Etterem--just follow the sign board on the main street. The weather being beautiful we opted for one of the few outdoor tables; its location off the main street means there is no traffic noise. The menu is interesting, offering not only Hungarian fare but the unexpected: shark steak, alligator, and frog legs. We opted for Hungarian dishes of pork cutlets in a paprika and onion sauce; traditional beef stew over house made spaetzle; and a spaetzle dish with fresh sheep cheese and bacon. Everything was delicious. Portions were appropriate in size, and the service was friendly and efficient. Our waitstaff spoke a fair amount of German and English, in addition to Hungarian.

Nice little oasis close to river and basilica. Huge menu, very nice food, good portions. Outdoor terrace kept cool on very hot day with waterspray. Worth returning for!

We had a diner here during our holiday in Esztergom. The food is great and the portion is big, we received our order fairly quickly. The waitress was very kind and helpful. In the summertime it worth to sit outside, it has a lovely garden. We will surely be back.

Dined here during our stopover in Esztergom while biking along the Donau Radweg. The restaurant is locate below the basilica, close to some of the nice B&B in town. If the weather is good, I recommend to dine outside, because the location is away from the motorvehicle traffic. Good food - tipycally hungarian - and good beer. Reasonable prices. The staff deserves a mention for their kindness
