We had lunch and dinner here during our stay. Waiters are friendly and fast, kids friendly place, food is great after all the gulyas ;-)

This is now a Cuban restaurant. We found this place on a Friday night but it was fully booked so booked to come back on the Saturday - so glad we did. Very lively, buzzy place with Cuban dancers the night we were there. Fantastic food and great service despite being super busy. Good, fun night out.

Fun low key atmosphere with great wings and beer. Found accidentally while looking for food in a rain storm and would definitely come back.

Superb Cuban (Hemingway) style restaurant. Food excellent, service good. Reasonable prices. Still has picturesque garden seating area as well as indoor. Quiet on a Monday night.

My husband and I found this marvellous jem of a restaurant on a recent visist to Budapest. It is quite hidden in a busy street but it has the most beautiful garden to dine in and the food was absolutely superb. It was one of the best meals we enjoyed on our visit and quite reasonably priced. As we dined we enjoyed the atmosphere provided by the fantastic live musicians. I would certainly recommend this venue to couples and families

There was a hostess standing on the corner outside the building. She led us to the inner courtyard, which was open to the sky. Otherwise we never would have found the restaurant. In the crisp cool October fall, our hosts provided heaters and shawls for the dining space in the garden. Cold berry soup (550 forints) featured currants, blueberries, and blackberries with a big dollop of whipped cream on top. Seasonings included cinnamon. It was sweet, tart, tangy, fabulous. Goulash soup (550 forints) was delicious with a medium paprika flavor and good beefy broth. There were vegetables but only one piece of meat. The roasted goose leg (2750 forints) was nothing special. The size indicated that it came from a very young goose, about 7 pounds. It didn't have much goose flavor, it was moderately chewy, and a little dried out. At least it wasn't fatty. Beef goulash with spaetzle (1850 forints) had more spice than beef taste; the spaetzle was light but tasteless. The cucumber salad (450 forints) had no discernable cucumber taste and there was too much sugar in the vinegar. Even though there were few customers, service was slow. We had a problem with the bill. We caution patrons to seek the staff's acknowledgment of the amount of the payment. We paid our 7,000-forint check with a 20,000-forint bill, which we placed inside their wallet, and received the wallet back, containing 3,000 forints in change. We complained immediately and after a very long and uncomfortable wait the server came back with our missing 10,000 forints.

Hidden away from the streets of busy roads of Budapest flamingo has a beautiful garden to dine in. The price is very reasonable for an European dinning I think because when you see the place you will think it will be very expensive that was my first impression. I liked the service too.

As a returning guest I have to say the food was just as good as last time. The staff is very friendly and professional. It's not over priced rather would say it's real value for money. Would highly recommend it for couples and families.

The main feature of this restaurant is certainly the setting: an inside graveled courtyard covered with mature trees. The food, however, is typical average Hungarian: goulash, paprika chicken, served with noodles. Service was adequate, but our waitress had a little trouble with her English.
A place to visit more for the atmosphere than for the food, but that can still be recommended.

During my trip in budapest i try different goulash soup and this was above the average. Very good the salmon with fresh vegetable. Lovely location but the waitress speaks bad English making some errors on ordination.

A beautiful place with friendly atmosphere. Try to contact the boss, he is a very nice chap, a real master of hospitality. He will solve all your problems, should you have any. Fine Hungarian-Mediterranean food.

We went towards the end of May which made it warm enough to sit in the courtyard (blankets provided if you do get a bit chilly). Lovely setting and good atmosphere with pianist playing in the background. The soup was tasty (we had Goulash soup and Tomato soup). The calves liver was very enjoyable. Vegetarian options (like in most restaurants) was limited to two (tempura vegetables and a type of fried cheese).
Good value prices.

If you are looking for the old world charm you are used to at the Feszek, you will be dissapointed. New owners are turning it into a night spot like all the other cafes down the street on Liszt Ferenc Ter. While the building is great, as is the courtyard, it will not be what it has been for the last 90 years.
If you want to find the spooky charm of old Budapest while you dine on gourmet food, I suggest you go 2 blocks down to the Kis Pipa. Review to follow.
This spot is easy to miss, on the corner of a quiet street in Pest VII, but is worth finding. The room is spacious, if slightly overlit, and is beautifully finished and proportioned. Skip the nondescript starters and head straight for the Paprika Chicken and Beef Goulash, which are traditionally flavoured and just the right kind of spicy. Dessert was worth the little extra. Service from waiter Zoltan was unfussy yet attentive and he dealt smartly with a poor wine selection by suggesting a much better alternative. Music is alternately canned (not good) and live by San Francisco native, pianist Kherry, who's a bit of a Charlie Brown nut. All in all a Friday night well spent.

My absolute favourite part of budapest is the 7.district, jewish quater, full of alternative bars, retaurants. At my last visit I managed to find another amazing place. Its located in a huge building which used to be the club of the top artists. The building is a little bit shabby, but inside it has a garden which I've never seen nowhere in my life, with chestnut trees, arcades, romantic and beautiful. and its a restaurant!!
I ate carpaccio, my favourite, which was absolutely high standard and hungarian goose leg with red cabbage - alo fantastic. Our waiter was a charming-smiling girl, fluent english, all ok.
The inside tables and chairs are quite simple, summer style.
all in all its great and totally unique!

One of the most beautiful garden restos in Bp. Food is good. Pity service is slow and a bit too friendly for the atmosphere. Or maybe I felt so because there were so few guests.
