Extremely hard to choose from the desserts, but kosher flódni is a must!

Great little cake shop.

The 60-year-old sweet shop offers flódni among other Jewish pastries, but they also have Hungarian classics. They also make cakes.
Best flódni in town, until further notice.

Flódni. What else :)

Their flódni cake is an absolute delight. layers upon layers of delicious ingredients and the price of 400 ft is amazing, for the quality you get. Their cheesecake is less sweet and lighter than the New York sytle cake - i prefer this one, though!

We were in search of Korkush and other Hungarian and kosher baked goods. Everything was absolutely delicious!

The cakes in this cafe are very tasty and authentic Hungarian. You just need to be patient as there can be a lot of people and it takes time to be served.
Be aware that they are closed on Sunday as well as Saturday.

We had heard much about Frohlich’s bakery and were so looking forward to experiencing typical Hungarian baked goods like Szerbo and Dobosz.
Unfortunately both were somewhat dry and it was a let down.
The service tho, was good and the person running the store was welcoming and friendly.
But not sure if we will return there.

Lovely cakes and delicious coffee. The interior is dated but the customer service was brilliant. We will definitely be back when in Budapest. Thank you!

I visited here 4 years ago, (when most of the cafe was a building site) and was pleased to bring some friends back and find it expanded and still tasty. Great if you are visiting the area

The main Advantage is that it's Kesher.
We bought 3 Cakes, the layered nut cake was on the dry side
The layered Caramel cake was dry too and had a hard-candy-like top layer, I don't know if this was intended but not so edible as in eating a cake, and the Napoleon ... well I had better.
Since I only eat kosher, I couldn't compare to other places but it only went down good with the great coffee
Prices were comparable to the local prices

Delicious cake. Reasonably priced and good service. Our favorite was the strudel. Highly recommended!!

In my opinion this is the best cake shop in the world. If only I could by the same poppy seed cake in my home town, I would be in heaven every day for the rest of my life!

I love this small place with family atmosphere and great cakes. Best Linzer cake I ever had in my life! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Simple family business that’s been in business in the former ghetto since 1953. Very friendly service. I enjoyed my flódni and espresso. Only reservation is that it was a bit airless and warm on the May spring day I visuted.

I was told to taste their Kokosh cake but when I got there at 8:30 am, they hadnt opened yet. As a tourist we started our days relatively early so I was disappointed. We came back later to find the kokosh cake finished. There wasnt a huge selection but what they had was fresh and yummy. They lack a sugar free option . The staff were serene and helpful. The coffee looked amazing but we didnt order it as we usually have coffee only in the early morning. The owners should consider more chocolate options, sugar free and vegan options which arent that difficult and I would suggest opening a bit earlier.

We stopped in on a Friday afternoon, right before they closed for Shabbat and bought a bunch of cakes and pastries to bring back to our airbnb and try. We enjoyed almost everything - it was VERY tasty. And Kosher!

Come at Sunday morning, everything is just fresh made.
I am sure they use only basic ingredients and do everything there because of the Kosher thing. You can tell it and it's great!

Calm place where you feel like home. Owners are very kind and humble people and treat each guest with respect. Delicious cakes, in spite of having many ingredients inside they are light enough to eat more than one piece per one visit :)
You must try Flodni and Makos in the first place... Then take what seem good for you, you won't be disappointed.

Kosher place, and it's almost duty to visit place like that in the city with such a great jewish history. Stuff is fine, english speaking. But open hours are a little bit short. Coffee is really good, desserts are different i used to, but new experience to taste.
