Párommal egy nagyon kellemes estét töltöttünk itt. Az étel kiváló volt és az adag hatalmas. Ami megkoronázta a hangulatot az az élő zene volt, amit egy kedves, mosolygós hölgynek köszönhettünk. Magyaros, kicsit retro, abszolút hangulatos hely. Ajánlom!

Modelled after the traditional modest Hungarian restaurants of old, this place features chequered tablecloths, old bric-a-brac decoration on the walls and a traditional menu. A far cry from the tourist traps that litter this part of the world, it has no pretentions, it is homely and it works. Service is good, the standard Hungarian dishes are tasty, the prices affordable. While not grandma's cooking, it offers a decent introduction to Hungarian dishes, with an emphasis on poultry. Located a short walk from the Castle Hill district, it offers a relaxed replenishment break from sightseeing.

The food was delicious, the wine was good, the service very friendly, as well as the prices, what else can you wish for? Though near to the Castle, not a touristy place at all. The food is traditional Hungarian but with a special touch, not the same as everywhere, e.g. a great choice in duck dishes.

We took two menus, of goulash soup and chicken with fried potatoes, it was a good quantity and delicious, only for 1900ft each menu!

Ate here one evening as 2 couples. We each had a different dish. They were all great. It was so good that we came back the next night and tried a few more dishes plus the favorites from the night before. If ever I return to Budapest, I'd drive across town to eat here again.

We went there on sunday at lunch time. It was packed, but not full. We ordered venison stew and duck with cabbage. Both were nice, especially the duck leg. It was soft but crispy. Stuff was friendly.

It is a small restaurant with many local guests. It has been reopened. The interior is fresh but not so stylist. The menu isn't long but enough. The meal are good and not so expensive. The menu is available in English and the waiter speaks English also.  The booking is recomendable at weekends! For a couple it can be ideal for an average meal.

We stayed in nearby hotel Orion Varkert and came here upon a recommendation - as to a restaurant for locals. Good hint. Still freshly opened thus quite empty, but the owners are very nice, food is good, prices very local, all great! Recommend to come for a lunch or dinner.

I forgot the name of the dish, but man that was a nice dish - goose, radish and something else on the side. The goulash was pretty rad too. Loved how quaint the restaurant's location is - right outside our homestay nearby. The boss is friendly too, he came and chatted with us. It was a good experience!
