Buena Vista Restaurant

Liszt Ference Ter offers a leafy relaxed pedestrian area of restaurants in the heart of Budapest where you can relax for lunchtime or evening drinks and food all week long. Buena Vista is definitely one of the better places to enjoy a beer or cocktail in comfortable surroundings, with good service and reasonable prices.

We came here after walking from heros square. Their menu looked thw best out of the other we saw! I loved how their goulash soup was served. I tried schnitzel for the first time, wasnt quite what I was expecting but still cooked well. My boyfriend enjoyed his salmon. Staff were friendly, service with a smile!

Ordered a good local red wine and Chicken Paprika. If ever I'll come back I will order that again. Don't order the Foie Gras starter. Try the platter instead.

I don't know what the other reviews are about or the history of this place, BUT the food we had here was great as was the service. Someone in our tour group said they ate here the night before and it was awesome, so we went. They were not crowded which may be reflective of some of the old reviews. We were greeted immediately. We ordered the daily cocktail, which my wife said was delicious. It must have been, she had 3. I had a beer. We ordered Antipasto which was very good, delicious meats, fresh mozzarella cheese and pickles of which I could have eaten a bucket. I had Goulash soup which was perfect. It was served piping hot. We both ordered Weiner Schnitzel with potatoes. I had mashed and my wife substituted French fries which they were glad to do. It was a great meal and great service and within a very short walking distance of the Corinthia Hotel where we stayed.

Buena Vista was our evening choice, and the place was fairly busy, but, as usual, the service was quick, the food hot and he price reasonable.

pleasant outside seating in nice part of central Budapest. But the claimed "Argentinian" steak bore no resemblance to the steak I've eaten in Argentina. Tough and chewy with nothing interesting to go with. Nice wine, but overall relatively poor.

This was a reasonably nice place to sit outside on the pavement and enjoy a warm evening over dinner. My schnitzel was generous, well-flattened and good as was the mash. My partner did less well with a very plain ordinary tagliatelli. Why it is "Bueno Vista" I know not other than the chance to sit outside and ponder the bueno vistas passing by. So no Cuban dishes or such. Reasonable prices and fairly good service though slow at times.

We liked all the staff as we sat outside for main course dinners and drinks. My Tagliatelle was very ordinary but the Veal schnitzel was large and good with mash. Wines by the glass seemed of average quality. Service charge was 12% I think. Decent pedestrian street. Unlikely to return.
