We can totally recommend this lovely place to everyone who wants an international experience with amazing food and wine! Suzie and her parents are totally welcoming and you feel comfortable within the first minute. We were a group with people from Texas, South Africa, Sweden, Great Britain, Hungary and Germany, so it was an amazing mixture of people who loves traveling and international chats! Such a perfect experience! Anja and Harald

We ate dinner here since it was in the top 10 of Trip Advisor. The setting was an apartment with about 14 guests. It felt like having dinner with friends at someone's apartment. The evening started out having a pre-dinner drink, going around the room and each guest saying a little about themselves, qand then goint to the dining room for dinner. First course was cauliflower soup, main was stuffed chicken leg, and dessert was a 3-layer vanilla cake - all excellent. We were served a homemade wine at the end - don't remember the name but was pretty good.
Best part of the two hour experience was meeting and talking with the other guests. Most were Americans but the most interesting were the British - very interesting people especially the cake maker lady. Service (a daughter and father) was great and the daughter gave a nice presentation on how the dining concept was developed. Highly recommend to people interested in alternative dining experiences.

While planning our vacation I was looking for places to eat. I initially was not going to read about Eat & Meet, boy am I glad I did. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Suzie and her parents have hit a home run, Suzie is a wonderful host explaining Hungarian food that is served. Her Mother is a fantastic cook and her Father made sure your wine glass was not empty.
If you can be sure to include this unique venue in your visit to Budapest

Good food, good vibe, and a fair price.
The service is excellent for the average in Hungary
Always a good choice when back in Budapest

booked this by emial after reading other reviews.
there was 12 of us around a table in a lovely flat over looking the Danube, on our visit we had people from 4 countries, every one was happy to talk to each other and there were no silent moments, the food was superb as was the wine that was topped up in time with drinking of it.
this was a wonderful evening made by Suzie our host, her mother who did most of the cooking and the father the wine waiter.
if you like good food and enjoy meeting people from other places then this is a must evening out

Our group spent an enjoyable evening with Suzie, educating our minds and our tastebuds on the glories of traditional Hungarian foods. The meal was excellent, all locally sourced and all prepared by Suzie and her family. The meal highlighted the summer seasonal foods and was accompanied by local wines and beer. Come hungry and enjoy the best meal in Budapest!

An absolutely brilliant evening with lovely people, and amazing home cooked Hungarian food and local wines. Suzie was the perfect host, and her parents very talented cooks. The stuffed chicken was without doubt the best chicken I’ve had. Another bonus is that I learned a lot about Hungarian food, traditions, and wines!
I visited from the UK by myself and was made to feel very welcome by Suzie and the other guests; I even had an invite out to Baltimore (which I hope to take up) from a great family I met, so it’s true that people make friends over food!
I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

In Budapest for just two nights and was lucky to be able to join one of Suzie's eat and meet events. Relatively easy to find and very well hosted by Suzie and her parents. Food was pleasant, wine glasses always full and it was fun to have a meal with a bunch of strangers who were all passing through Budapest for various reasons on the same night. It was different and nice to do if you have a free evening in Budapest.

I have been to eat and meet for a lovely dinner. Suzie was very honest with all foods and drinks and what she likes and what not; it was not one of the nights that you listen a country’s culinary culture as the one in a million but the one which has some specialities that gives you real experience. So when you get there you see honesty and real feedback on culinary culture than culture propoganda.
If you would like to see and taste a real foody night get there and you will not regret.

We booked this dinner with a bit of trepidation, this being our first time eating a 3 hour meal in someone's home with a bunch of strangers. Suzie (and her parents!) was a great host and kept the conversation moving. And if that wasnt enough, she started the evening with a shot of palinka. Nothing like free flowing non stop alcohol to get people talking! :)
We started with soup (room temp, in recognition of the sweltering hot summer outside) and bread with local pesto. Continued with stuffed chicken, potatoes and grilled zucchini. Ended with a fluffy chocolate gooseberry(??) mousse cake. Each course was accompanied by Hungarian wine. It was a healthy, home cooked, delicious experience for our first night in Budapest.
Booking was easy thru Suzie's website, and then she followed up with emails about best dates and food preferences. Our dinner was with a group of 14 or 15 people, everyone from a different part of the world, gathered to eat 1 meal together. Definitely recommend.

My mom and I were so pleased with dinner at Suzie's house. Her hosting skills are truly top-notch; I felt as though we had been invited to a dinner party. The food (cooked by Suzie's adorable mother) and wine were really nice and Suzie's words about the menu were charming and illuminating. One note: the apartment is accessible by public transportation, but avoid the #15 bus which had a delayed arrival and then broke down a few stops from Suzie's place, causing us to arrive late which I think is a cardinal sin in Hungary. (Suzie was very gracious about it, though.) Opt for the M3 instead.

Firstly, we were greeted by laughter and celebration amongst the other guests, who various experiences enriched the atmosphere. Throughout the three seasonal courses, we were always at ease, and we left feeling full and jolly. Great vibe, beautiful view and would recommend to all ages!!

Four of us took advantage of this opportunity before beginning a river cruise in Budapest. We have traveled all over Europe together and look for out-of-the-ordinary experiences. Dinner here certainly fit that goal. Great food and good company.
Emily was easy to engage via email, made sure we had the opportunity to state any special requests and hosted us in a most friendly way. She had the knack of getting the group of strangers to get acquainted with each other then step out of the way to let the conversation flow.
A wonderful evening we will always remember.

We were a family group of 9 people - and we really enjoyed meeting other people from different parts of the world over a wonderful home cooked Hungarian meal. Wine pairings were excellent - the Palinka was interesting to say the least. Suzie and her parents were wonderful hosts.
Suzy was wonderful about accomodating everyone's dietary restrictions - we had vegetarians, gluten free, only chicken....
It was an evening well spent

I actually visited here around end of May 2017 but this site won't let me put that date so it says August 2017. My sister and I enjoyed an evening here - Atmosphere and food were lovely. There were at least a dozen of us at the table. It's an interesting thing to do while you're enjoying Budapest! Great hostess!

She was gladly able to accommodate vegetarian food and meals were great with endless wine (different wine for each course). Good random bunch of people made the night very fun. Highly recommend.

What a lovely evening hosted by Susie and her parents. The food was exceptionally good (I think the best we had in Budapest) and the wine pairings were also very good. As Susie will explain no goulash on the menu here though. Susie was a gracious hostess and the other guests (none of whom we knew) were funny and engaging. All in all one the highlights of our trip (which I have been recommending to everyone since I got home).

We had dinner with a dozen others at Suzie and her parents’ modern apartment. We were made to feel welcome and really enjoyed the evening. The food and accompanying wines were first class. A brilliant experience.
