The owner(?) is super nice and friendly and the service is great! The food is good and they have a really nice wine selection. You leave with a smile on your face.

Cracking little restaurant where the staff were super friendly and the food was great tasting and healthy too. Recommend the Buda Bowl for breakfast or lunch. And the waiter looks like Bruce Willis.. tell me I’m wrong… go and have a look!

What an amazing place! Just walking in I was struck by this happy welcoming vibe by all the girls. It's clean & fresh, great coffee and good music. I couldn't find a single fault with this place! I will definitely come back next time I'm in Budapest 💛🏳️‍🌈

Friendly staff & great service. Such a cosy place inside/outside. Love the open kitchen style. Perfect place for breakfast or just for a coffee, lunch or bites with drinks. (AMAZING cocktails) Our favourite is the Budapest Antipasti plate and the Duck Rilette with great wines from Hungary. Thank you Sziszi for bringing this vibe to the streets of Budapest. We cannot wait to return.

We visited here yesterday morning and had the most amazing breakfast! The waitresses were so lovely and accommodating, super friendly and the food was delicious! They only do gluten free bread which is a homemade sourdough, it was so good, even the non gluten freers loved it too. I’d recommend arriving early as after we got our food, it started getting really busy. Would be worth the wait though

Sziszi, who runs this amazing little place, must be the most hard-working and least grumpy person imaginable. The breakfasts here are superb - especially the Big Boys' Breakfast. Everything is cooked to order and of top quality. Great design and helpful English menu too.

We decided to stop here on our way to Austria for breakfast and it was the best decision we could've made. The food was absolutely fantastic, the goat cheese salad was the best salad I had in 3 years. The Hungarian traditional dumplings are to die for. Staff is so friendly, it makes you feel like you belong there. Hands down ladies!!!

The atmosphere in this gorgeous little cafe is the furthest thing from grumpy. Staff were delightful, coffee delicious and food was great. I had the sausages with bread and salad, my partner had the chicken wrap. We even had mimosas after breakfast simply because we wanted to hang out here longer (which were also delicious and ‘Prosecco forward’ 😂) So happy to have stumbled across here on our last day in Budapest!

Stopped in for a late breakfast and had a wonderful experience here. Many homemade dishes, including sour dough bread. A great blend of breakfast foods, Hungarian specialties (including mangalitsa sausage and goose greaves) and comfort foods. Highly recommended! Also, Alexa was a fantastic server.

We visited this establishment for brunch, during a city break in Budapest. On arriving, the staff were very friendly were able to provide menus in English. Our waitress was very attentive when taking our orders, as was the chef when she delivered our food. The food was exactly what we'd been looking for. Nice range of choice, from cooked breakfast to bacon and eggs, to toast and sandwiches. I had the bacon and eggs which came in a lovely skillet. The decor and styling made the resourant feel casual but authentic, it was a pleasure to visit.

We entered the place on St Martins day, and we got a goose leg which was unforgottable, I have never had such a wonderful experience! Very feiendly and extremely quick service, excellent and unique tapas…. Perfect place, tt will be my regular eatery!!! I would recommend it to everyone!

We came to Grumpy on a Saturday morning for breakfast. First up the staff were really friendly and of course our dog Luna was especially welcome. We had a great champagne breakfast and had a couple of slices of delicious apple pie to go. Cooking with fresh ingredients ensure that everything is of a really high quality. I cannot wait until restrictions are lifted and we can go back again.

Catering at its best! The place has an awesome vibe, it is cozy, cool and chic at the same time. The owner, Sziszi is friendly, enthusiastic and super nice, without being too much or pushy. And the food is excellent as well. This is a very rare combination :). Don't miss this little gem when you visit Budapest! It will be a very pleasant experience.

Unmissable. Owner is so welcoming, friendly and customisations aren’t minded, nothing is too much trouble. Best breakfast I have tasted, the girlfriend also recommends the bacon - good portions, crispy and delicious. I can see this place slowly increasing in popularity and being a massive hit. Everything from the music, atmosphere, service, food and owners positivity is incredible. Highly recommended!

The owner is charismatic. She brings happiness and love to her place. The menu is pretty short but you can have regular plates as hams or cheeses plates for example to share . We chosed typical meals as duck and cabbage, was good !

Finom, bájos folt, aranyos folt. Budapesten tartózkodásunk során kétszer itt volt kávé és reggeli. A tulajdonos nagyon barátságos és barátságos. Nagy érték, jó kávé. Volt a szalonna és a tojás, a cortado, a tészta. Nagyon jó. Nagyon ajánlott.
