Food is amazing, always fresh (they have daily offers). Take-away place, with a good atmosphere. And there is always good music :) Vegan and vegetarian, lactose-free and gluten-free dishes.

Focus on creating delicious forms of multi-ingredient pottage made with seasonal foodstuffs (such as tomato and black bean, basil and kohlrabi, or lemon, dill, and potato).
This tiny restaurant serves soup, pottages (or főzelék in Hungarian), toppings (one meat and one vegetarian) to go with them and even something sweet, with the menu changing every day, which you can check on their Facebook page. Most menu items are vegetarian/vegan, gluten- and/or milk-free, so even if you follow a special diet, you'll have plenty of dishes to choose from. You can get your food to go or eat it there, if you can find a seat. I've eaten here several times already and have always been satisfied with both the food and the service.

A little soup shop where, when we went, all the soups available that day were clearly labelled as Gluten free. As my girlfriend is a coeliac this is really important, and this was backed up by knowledgeable staff. They make fresh soups everyday, and the ones we tried were delicious. An added bonus was that we felt much more amongst locals than we did tourists here, so it was a bit more authentic! We had takeaway soup, but you can sit in if you don’t mind the small size of the place.

If you crave a soup or warm pottage for lunch - this place is amazing. It offers 6-8 different dishes every day and they are super tasty! All dishes are freshly prepared so the daily offer differs. The space inside is scarce but you can always take out and have it at your place. The prices are very affordable and the staff is kind and friendly!

Hokedli is close to where I work, so when I'm not bringing my own lunch with me, I usually grab something from here. Having eaten here pretty much every week for almost two years, I recently realized that I can't recall a single thing I've had here that was anything less than tasty.
The soups and the pottage always have creative flavours and spices (but not *too* creative, for those of you worried about spicy food. Just really well-matched combos, sage, basil, thyme, rosemary, smoked paprika, ginger and so on to flavour the veg.)
And, as it turns out, any vegetable can make good pottage, even the ones we never saw in the school lunches of our childhood, like Brussels sprouts or zucchini. The sides (especially the meats) are also excellent, very flavourful.
According to Hokedli's website (and blog posts by the proprietor, Bori Sinkó) ingredients come fresh from the market each day, so the menu is always different and always seasonal. Gluten-free and lactose-free options feature on the menu every day. Just trust them, you can feel free to try anything here even if it sounds unusual at first. I think you won't be disappointed.

Just a small place at Nagymezö utca 10, but what great soups and stews. My absolute favorite is the black bean and chipotle stew but I've never had a disappointing meal here. There's always a line when they open but things move quickly so don't worry-- you'll be feasting on great food in no time.

It’s a very down to earth place, very small, staff is polite, two standing tables outside. The food is amazing, gluten free and lactose free options.
Loved it! Will come back!

Very cute little place with tasty and inexpensive food. Green pea pottage is great and staff is very friendly :)

Lovely food with almost always great toppings. They could improve in posting the actual menu on their social media in time.

Hokledi is a hole in the wall on the end of Nagymezo that is closest to Kiraly. They serve homemade Hungarian soup stews. The closest English word to this traditional Hungarian dish is probably potage or stew. They have a huge selection, made fresh daily, along with garnishes, fresh bread, brownies and slices of cake. It’s a clean and cheerful, brightly painted shop with a handful of seats inside. The staff are very nice, and also very helpful. They speak great English too and are patient with my poor Hungarian! The only caveat is don’t get there too late----everything is so good they sell out quickly! It’s a great place of for take-away, for cheap eats, for locals or tourists, for vegetarians, and a great place to eat traditional Hungarian food with seasonal ingredients.

Quality local food at fair prices (from 490ft, menu 1290-1690ft). Great for a quick stop or takeaway although there is place for a handful of clients. Been there on two different occasions and will be back. WiFi but only cash.

The tried the full menu which was fried paprika soup, pumpkin vegetable dish with sausages and finally cottage cheese cake. All all them was very very tasty!!! And all of this was only 6 EUR!! There are 4 sits and few standing place inside and plus same standing tables outsides. You can take the dishes with you. This is one of the best "street" food restaurant. They change their menu nearly every day.
