Kalicka bistro is on Rottenbiller ut, about 700m northwest of Keleti rail station. This small bistro offers basic fast food: hamburgers, salads, fries, sausages, soups, pastries, fruit and hot and cold beverages such as coffee, beer, soda, and lemonade. I stopped in for an early lunch, and scanned the chalkboard menu on the wall; cold items were in a case by the serving counter. I had a bowl of bean soup (simmered and savory) with a cheese sandwich (fresh crusty bread). The staff was friendly and spoke some English. The dining area was tidy (I dined inside, and there was some seating outside). Prices were average.

Always feels like home when I am in the Kalicka Bistro. I’ve paid the restaurant plenty of visits because I always enjoy the atmosphere. Food is delicious, the beer is good and the staff is really friendly. Will continue going there.

This is a nice place, recently refurbished, with good quality Czech beers, and international food matching good for the beers. The staff is nice and helpful.
