Great lángos. Best in the town :)

Langos a la Rohlicsek is about 300m northwest of Dobó István Square (just follow the Eger-patak river). It is a fast food place, offering traditional Hungarian langos. Various langos choices were posted on a menu (in Hungarian only) by the service window. I ordered one, and it quickly appeared hot and steamy in a paper napkin. A langos is a deep-fried flattish bread served warm with sour cream and grated cheese. It was delicious, and I wandered along the path by the river, eating my snack.

This is the locals' favourite spot in the mornings, they queue up to get breakfast here. It is so delicious, yet very cheap. You get a giant wheel of fried bread (like pizza but 100x better), choose your toppings, and don't forget to get a large cup of tea! The tea is Hungarian style, strong, sweet, with plenty of lemons. It is a must with langos :)
The staff is lovely and they speak English (they also have signs in English). Judit the manager is so friendly, she treats every guest like an old friend and will remember your favourite the next day :)
But be quick, they close if they run out of dough, usually at about 10am

Superb Langos. Friendly service. You can make a complete meal by purchasing complimentary food from the other excellent vendors in the food court.

It is a hungaricum. Called: "lángos"!
Shape like a pizza, but it very different.
You can choose lot of toppings, like "tejföl" hungarian sour cream.
Enjoy! :)

You haven't been to Hungary until you have tasted Langos (Hungarian fried dough). This place is tucked away on the 2nd floor of the Market Hall in Eger Hungary. Unpretentious, but very friendly and they know how to make huge, wonderful Langos. Prices start at about 220 huf. Depending on the toppings, this can be a meal in itself. Catch them in the morning when the market is bustling for a true Hungarian experience. Other stalls nearby serve other types of authentic Hungarian fast food at very low prices.
