Had the goulash and broccoli cream soup both super tasty! Risotto and chicken also great! The best is the service!

When you eat here, worth to look at the Art works on the wall 👏

Really good quality food in a beautiful little restaurant, just off the main drag. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere, great service.

Found this nice restaurant while exploring the neighbourhood round the airbnb where we were staying. It is situated on the corner and has great views of the river Danube and not far from the Margit Bridge. We ate here for dinner and were given a secluded table within an enclosure. The man who served us spoke excellent english and offered pretty genuine recommendations of food and wines. he was very polite and attentive and chatted with us about our visit to Budapest and suggested places to visit. We felt there was a good variety of dishes of reasonable quality and price. There were tables outside providing a great view of Margit island or the Danube, but we decided to eat inside which was calm and cosy with a lovely real wood decor.

just near the Danube, one can have a fine Hungarian dish at a reasonable price. Service is friendly and superb.

We should have known this place as not the best since we were the only people eating dinner in the entire restaurant. We were pleased with the starter, the Hortobagy pancake, with a creamy chicken ragout in s light crepe-like pancake with sour cream, the entrees were not the best we have had in Budapest. The chicken paprikash was bland and not good quality chicken. The dumpling entree was fried and very greasy—almost inedible! The one entree we enjoyed was the cattle beef stew. The service was fine, consider we were the only diners and he had no one else to serve. But when we finished we sat forever waiting did the bill. Finally we pulled out our calculator and added to what we owed and put it in the table. He finally came over and brought the bull. Our math was right and we left a tip. It was an okay place, but not as good as many of the other places we have dined in Budapest!

We stopped at the Liget Restaurant for drinks only. The waiter was so friendly and he suggested a place that he thought was the best in all of Hungary to visit and not very far to travel to.
We spent quite some time just sitting and enjoying the passing parade of people and the surrounding area.
I am sure that a meal here would be a good experience.

Found this place while strolling around, am i glad we did.Decided to go for the Hungarian dish the waiter/owner recommended. It was a three meat dish -Beef,chicken and pork. Each piece was cooked to perfection and came with three halves of jacket potato and pickled vegetables. The best part was a couple of pieces of crackling which melted in the mouth. With a couple or three beers each the bill was only about 9000 HUF (£27). I would imagine in the summer it would be great to sit outside.

Had late dinner here and we enjoyed it! Waiter was very attentive and polite, food came out quickly and it was all pretty good! I will note that the portions were HUGE. We ordered a starter of bruschetta which was 4 massive breads and the schnitzel was bigger than my face. All in all, if you want straight forward food without too many frills, this is your place.

We had some bad experience with Hungarian restaurants prior to visiting this place. The best asset of this place is the friendly waiter who speaks very good English. The food was nice but frankly not that special. However, given the price we didn't feel cheated. The decor is a bit dated and the ladies toilet were very dirty. We would come back, though, since we felt welcome and that was unfortunately not the case with some other places in Budapest.

Being so tired and hungry that making it to the hotel was almost impossible, we decided to stop here to recharge and rest a bit.
Now I can say that is was a good choice.
Apart of the picture below, which states the incredibly well done schnitzel , stretched to an impressive size, there is much more to see in this restaurant. The interior is cozy and welcoming, furnished with real wood. Would you want some view of Margit island or the Danube, you may sit outside at the few tables there.
Customers are mixed type, I have met tourists and also family gathering in the same place.
The waiter is a real salesman. :-) Congrats to that!

We came across this place one night looking for a place serving Hungarian food at decent prices. We weren't disappointed! The food was really good, the service quick and friendly, and I think we paid around 30€ for three mains, drinks, and side dishes. Can't complain!
