Lovely place and amazing food. You should definitely go there, reservations is preferable but not required (we were lucky to get a table without a reservation). The service is nice.

Food amazing all round as was the welcome, hosting and drinks. All very reasonable loved the interior and decor as the fried bread, sausage meat balls and massive breaded chicken drumstick was more like a whole chicken!

We visited this lovely place early on Saturday evening and were lucky to get a table as most were already reserved but they managed to squeeze us in. Lovely intimate and quaint in design. The staff are all very friendly and accomodating. The food was delicious, typically hungarian and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this lovely restaurant, but book if you can to avoid disappointment.

Very nice place to dine. Typical food served by kind staff. We particularly appreciated the location and the furniture. It looks like a place run by women as it is super clean and cozy. Delicious food.

We loved our visit at Retek Bistro! Staff was very welcoming and informative. Small and cozy restaurant, so order a table in advance. Food was delicious and all Hungarian which was everything we wanted. Very delightful visit!! 👍🏻🤩

Was at Retek for lunch. The staff was friendly and the service was top level. Food was good quality. Had the cold plate, and everything on it was delicious! Would definitely return!

I think just even tables but extremely good Hungarian food served with a smile. Very simple yet tasteful decor. Tons of value here for folks looking for traditional food. This is now my new “go to” establishment for authentic Hungarian food in the capitol. Really friendly staff who seem both proud and happy to be there.
