I had a beef pho. The ingredients were fresh and tasty, but the broth was not enough 'strong'. Actually rest of the customers were asian, which is a good sign!

The best vietnamese food I've had, I would recommend pho (any kind) and summer rolls.
We had been in Italy for 2 months and had a craving for Vietnamese food. This little restaurant did not disappoint. We had Pho with shrimp and traditional greens, the broth was so delicious! We enjoyed the spring rolls which were fried and the summer rolls. We also had a chicken and rice dish. Everything was so incredibly tasty and fresh. The menu is on the wall with photos of every dish they make. There are only two people who appear to be husband and wife. He works the front and she prepares the food. They do not have a bar with wine or cocktails, but they do have beer.

Very simple classic Vietnamese place with great pho. I guess it's more a locals place, which makes it feel more authentic. Nothing fancy, but the food was great!

Great restaurant, so delicious and kind.
Small but everything was awesome.
We visited second time now, because so good.
We ordered seafood fried rice and beef soup for first time. Today we ordered spring roll, seafood soup and beef fried rice with beer. Those 5iteams were excellent. Way better than town food. Also not pricy. Less than 5000hf with everything include beer.
High recommend!!

This place is not fancy but the food here is so yummy! The hostess was so friendly and we met some locals. We had the Saigon soup (pork, noodles, prawns) plus shared a main dish and a few beers plus a tip and it only cost a little more than 20€. So good. Wish we could go back!

The owner with her Hungarian husband is really nice. We live near here, so we eat here often.
Friendly, nice place. Ofc not a restaurant, but it is authentic, and food is freshly made.
Soups like bun bo hue, bun rieu, and pho are awesome. The in my opinion the best ones in town comparing to the other ones here in Budapest.
One of the most recommended Viet 'restaurant' in Budapest :)

A really sweet, homely Bistro - very simply but with excellent quality dishes.
Simple menu of meats served with noodles or rice, cooked to your tasting and spice level and with fresh vegetables.
Service was very quick, with the three of us receiving our platefuls in just a few minutes.
My friend has visited here during peak lunchtimes and says it’s extremely popular with locals; students, workers, businesspeople - a good sign.
Fresh. Healthy. A nice spice kick.
Cost in the region of 1400 huf per plate (approx £3.80 Jul 18)

I researched on tripadvisor to find the best authentic Vietnamese restaurant nearby and found Saigon Bisztro. The food was great especially the ice Vietnamese coffee and the Pho beef! I would highly recommend this place If you are interested in the food taste rather than the atmostphere. Also the owners are very nice and friendly! I have been there twice and I would visit this place again.

Food tasted good enough.
Price wise it was good, my sister and I shared a couple things it came to 2200 and was enough for us for a smaller light meal.
Service wasn't amazing but they also weren't terrible.
Atmopshere, a bit awkward. No music and the pictures look nicer than it actually is in there.

I'm not a Vietnamese cousin fun or expert of any type, neither have comprehensive experiences with similar restaurants in town. So I can't tell whether Saigon is authentic or not, but I can tell that the soups are really fresh, with crispy vegetables in a variety of flavors I have never taste before. Service is second to none and the restaurant, or rather its terrace has an atmosphere as its located in quiet street near the railway in a unique part of the city. Prices are average, maybe in the upper part of the range.

I tried a couple of Vietnamese restaurants in Budapest, but always determined this type of food would not be my favourite. Then I visited Saigon Restaurant, and ordered a Pho bo. I have became addicted to it, so by this time I am a regular guest of this place. The waiter is great, the food is really delicious, I do not lie if I say it is the best Vietnamese restaurant in Budapest. If You decide to visit, try at least one of the 3 soups (pho bo, pho ga dua and the spicy pho hai san) and for the second meal pho cuon thit ga bo). This place is a real and rare pearl in the city.

Spacious and in a good location but unfortunately pretty mediocre.
Dishes lack any noticeable flavour. It won't kill you but will not make you feel better either.
Lemonade is too sweet, full of sugar.
Used to be good when opened but became really dull as time went by.
Prices are high for dishes this poor.
