My favourite tea house in Budapest. They are supreme experts in fine tea. you can order hot tea or cold tea or you can buy loose leaf teas.

Where do I start? Zhao Zhou is the best tea house in Budapest, without a question. Once you’re on their doorstep, you’ll be greeted and welcomed with attention. The interior is made for you to be able to relax and spend quality time. The place serves a great variety of teas and drinks like kombucha; but the most important aspect is that through a number of workshops and tastings the management brings the true tea culture to everyone who is open for it. Would highly recommend it if you’re in Budapest!

Came here with a couple of heavy drinkers, swapped our beer for Chinese and Japanese tea. No regrets.

My wife and I were on holiday in Budapest, wishing to get away from the crowds when we stumbled upon this amazing tea shop. We then spent two hours drinking tea and kombucha and having a lovely time.

One of the highlights of my trip to Budapest. Discovered it by mistake, but what a find. I'm a huge tea fan, and this is probably the best teashop I've ever been in. Cool, minimalistic decor, with a huge range of every tea you could imagine. The staff were so friendly and we had a nice conversation. The tea was really well priced and I bought some to take home. Would recommend to all tea fans for a quiet stop in Budapest. Will certainly be returning one day!

Awesome place to chill and drink a tea. You can choose between like 50-100 different teas. Staff is extremely helpful. Atmosphere is calm and really helps you to find peace for some time in a busy city.

These guys know what they do and they do it well. You can drink wonderful teas and buy some to make home. You can even brew YOUR OWN TEA in the shop! If you want to enchant your significant other, take him - her here.

The manager gave us one of the best experiences on our trip in Budapest! We shared three different teas, managers choice. They made us so calm and the shops back room created a zen experience. Zhao Zhou is the perfect relaxation stop on your trip in hectic Budapest.

it was a very good visit. we learned so much about ancient tea and we loved the service and treatment received over there, we stayed more than 1 hour just learning and listening. they have such an amazing tea collection that you just want to take all of them home!

I attended a tea course held by the owner of Zhao Zhou so I thought why not try his tea shop. The place has a wide selection of quality Chinese tea from ancient trees and some Japanese as well.
The atmosphere helps you get in the right mood for a tea session (esp. if you manage to get a seat by the window looking over the Chain Bridge and people walking by on the street) and the servers are also knowledgeable and friendly.
For the above I would give 5 stars however I think their on the spot prices are too high, you pay the same amount for 5 grams of tea as if you bought 30-50 gr for home. As a side note I would also make some improvements to the restroom area, it's not very nice.
I encourage everyone to sit in and try the special tea leaves they have but me personally, I'll just buy their teas and prepare at home.
