Aranycipó

Ideal breakfast: real Italian style coffee, mexican hot sandwich, and all the cold sandwiches are very good. Service speed is impressing, too.

Rendszeresen járunk ide, de csak kávézni, a péksüteményeket drágának tartom, bár amikor kóstoltam, finom volt, de semmi extra. Szóval a kávé finom, de nem mindig tudják teljesen ugyanúgy elkészíteni a latte-t, bár ez nem zavar. Kiszolgálás nem túl jó, emberenként változó, de vannak nagyon bunkó eladók.

Tipikus példája annak, hogy miként lehet elrontani egy egyébként remek termékeket kínáló helyet azzal, hogy nem megfelelő a kiszolgálás. A nyitvatartási időt is érdemes lenne felülvizsgálni.

This centrally located bakery offers a great selection of pastry, good breakfast, clean interior and helpful staff. During our visit in Pécs we returned here from time to time. Recommended.

Our accommodation in Pécs didn't offer breakfast so we decided to try a new place every morning. There are a couple of bakeries which have coffee and a place to sit, but we had the best meal at Aranycipó at Széchenyi square. It is a bakery but they hardly have any bread. Emphases being on the many tasty sandwiches, cakes, cookies and delicious coffee. And it is right by Széchenyi Square, near all the interesting sights.

This little bakery on the main square in historic Pecs has a nice selection of tasty pastry, rolls, and sandwiches for at little cost. Soda and water prices are also the cheapest in town (very important in the summer heat!). This picturesque town is one of our favorite in Hungary, with a fairly large pedestrianized center of shops, cafes and museums. Aranycipo offers a perfect lunch outside under an umbrella and dessert-y snacks for walking the village. Friendly, patient service. We had a hard time deciding! We'd be regulars if we lived there.
