Gyönyörűen kialakított hely, finom ételek és kedves kiszolgálás. Így tudnám jellemezni a Pesti Chutneyt röviden. A személyzet angolul beszélni, de egy picit tud magyarul is. Én kókuszos rákos curryt ettem naan kenyérrel és isteni finom volt. Csak ajánlani tudom! :)

Negyed óra várakozás után jött oda a pincér, aki rögtön a karácsonyi menüt ajánlotta, pedig már készek voltunk rendelni a kifüggesztett tábláról. Elfogadtuk, sajnos később vált nyilvánvalóvá, hogy 4000Huf/fő áron. A karácsonyi menü leírása nem tiszta, nem átlátható. Az ital szinten nem kevés várakozás után került az asztalra. Az étel: butter chicken, rizs, chicken tikkamassala, naan kenyér és grilled zöldségköret. A mellékhelyiség büdös volt. A végén, a fizetésnél szóvá tettük, hogy magasnak tartjuk az összeget (12%-os service díj az árban!), részletes számlát nem tudtak adni. Rögtön magyarázkodásba kezdtek, de amint a tételeken végigmentünk az összeg valósnak bizonyult. Nem itt éreztük magunkat átverve. Nem számoltak fel olyat, amit nem kertünk. A karácsonyi menü leírása nem egyértelmű, nem átlátható, szolgáltatást nem kaptunk, az ételek túlárazottak! Update: - Az ételek ára, egy dolog, ahogy írtam is korábban, azt nagyon nem lehet kifogásolni. A probléma sokkal inkább az, hogy egyáltalán nem volt egyértelmű, hogy mennyibe fog kerül a Karácsonyi-menü. Nem azzal van a baj, hogy ne tudnánk kifizetni az ételt (belváros!), de ha már ennyit fizetünk, akkor legalább legyen tiszta, hogy miért! Legyen átlátható a menü. - A szervízdíj: azon az estén nagyon soknak bizonyult a 12%. Amikor először betértünk megkértek, hogy 15 perc múlva jöjjünk vissza. Covid időszak van, meghatározott számú vendég tartózkodhat az étteremben! Visszatértünk, leültünk, majd 10 perc után már feltűnt, hogy az utánunk érkező középkorú párt eddigre már kiszolgálták. Italt kétszer kellett rendelnünk. Tehát azt hiszem jogos a fenti észrevétel. Nem gondolom, hogy mindig így van, de azon az estén így törént. Köszönjük a felajánlást, de már az is elég, ha a fenti dolgokon sikerül fejleszteniük. Sok sikert kívánunk Önöknek a szolgáltatás javításában! Üdv. :)

Nagyon finom volt az étel! A "megszokott" indiai puha kenyér helyett itt egy ropogós kiadást készítenek. Finom, de a puha Naan nekünk jobban ízlik. A többi belvárosi helyhez képest itt egy kicsit szolidabbak az árak. Namastè!

A szokasosnal tobbet kellett varni az etelekre, de megerte, minden nagyon rendben volt. Tovabbi sok sikert es kitartast a munkajukhoz! Koszonjuk!

Nagyon kedves és barátságos kiszolgálás. Rákot és kacsacombot ettünk karamellizált hagymaszósszal, nagyon finom volt minden, a kacsa kívül tökéletesen ropogós, belül lágy és omlós. A szósz csak annyira csípős amennyire kell. A mangó lassi zárásnak a lehető legjobb választás, elképesztően jó textúrája és íze van.

Elképesztően kedves kiszolgálás, de tényleg. Az étel az íz szempontjából rendben volt, de ár-érték arányban drága 2.200 Ft-ért egy fél csirkemellel egyenértékű hús a tányéron, pontokon nyersen... Emellett egy szép hosszú hajszál is került a vacsorába. De minden nagyon szép a helyen és tényleg elképesztően kedves a kiszolgálás. :)

4 fogasos degusztacios menut ettunk, minden fogas nagyon finom volt, az etelek pikansak voltak, de semmi sem volt tul csipos. a kiszolgalas nagyon kedves volt, batran ajanlom a helyet!

An almost perfect experience (Szinte tökéletes élmény) The waiters were kind and the food was very delicious. Unfortunately the service was quite slow, we had to wait up to 30 minutes between courses. The interior decoration was lovely, the plates and silverware were very tasteful. I would definitely return. (A felszolgálók kedvesek voltak, és az ételek nagyon finomak. Sajnos a kiszolgálás eléggé lassú volt, akár fél órát is kellett várni fogások között. A belső dekoráció tetszetős, a tányérok és evőeszközök kimondottan igényesek voltak. Szívesen visszatérnék újra.)

Arrived at 2030; ordered by 2100; starters at 2130 and now waiting for mains. The taste so far is good, but order has seen mistakes and staff not looking to correct, quantity differs 3 pieces instead of 4 so we've eaten less starters and paid the same price. Most of the group have left the restaurant to call home so it gives you an idea of how slow the food is taking. Confirms the other reviews on service being average.

Stumbled across this Indian restaurant while we were searching on google for restaurants near our hotel. It’s a nice place, fairly large with simple decor. Service was with a smile and the food was just outstanding. We ordered chicken tikka masala, dal tadka jeera rice and naan (which was steaming hot and oh so soft!).

I normally get a paneer tikka masala with pilaf rice. The flavours are rich, complex and authentic. I’m British and find that most Indian food in the Uk leaves me feeling sluggish. These guys make food that’s full of flavour and also makes you feel alive.

Loved the ambiance here. Great decor and music. Waiter did get order wrong but quickly fixed. Food was delicious and on beautiful bowls. Slightly hotter in chilli terms than I’m used to (from uk where we like it hot) . Good quality wine and beer and reasonable prices.

Wow, just wow. We eat here regularly. The place has a healthy amount of customers from South Asia so you know you are in the right place for an authentic Indian experience. The food here is first class. Generous portion sizes of freshly cooked food, cooked to your own spice level. Friendly staff and quick service, all at a fair price. Where is the 10 star rating when you need it. Well done chef Allen Diwan and your team. You guys rock!

Food: good, tasty and adapted to the realities of Hungary, meaning that most dishes are a single meal. I had a prawn vindaloo which was hot enough but not unbearable and the garlic naan was fantastic. Everything comes in very nice and stylish dishware. In general, everyone in our company was more than satisfied with the quality of the food. Service: well, this is where the problems start. I can speak English, however as a Hungarian in Hungary, I expect to be served in my native language. When I entered the restaurant and asked for our reserved table, the waiter did not even make an effort to speak Hungarian, he just said "English, please". Obviously, this will be less of a problem for tourists, however, it is unacceptable for me.

I ate daily menu. Unfortunately i'm not good in the indian foods name, but i try to specify with different words. The main course was like the chicken massala with spiced rice and naan bread, and i'v got a complimentary soup too. Everything was very delicious and plenty although thet was just a simple lunch menu. For this price, well i guess this is a really good offer in the heart of Budapest. Especially recommended for everyone!!!!

I had been trying for months to get to Pesti Chutney and was not disappointed. From the ambiance to the presentation to the taste, everything was absolutely wonderful. Probably some of the best Indian food I have ever eaten. It was a pleasure meeting Chef Alan, as well. I highly recommend a meal at Pesti Chutney.

Spicy, fresh, creamy, curry to die for! Came with friends, ate black lentils, lamb with spinach, prawns in coconut sauce, rice, naan, lamb masala and even starters like samosa and fried veggies. Desert was ice-cream!

Best Indian food in Budapest! Me and my husband tried every Indian restaurant in the city, but that was the best, we will definitely come back with friends and family. The atmosphere of the restaurant is excellent.

Our family has been to India and the degree of authenticity here was spot on. We chose the taster menu but with a mix of some of us being vegetarian they found it no trouble to cater the dishes to our specific mixed needs. The staff were friendly and helpful, presentation was beautiful and the anticipation for the next composed taster was enjoyable. Even the plates added to the luxurious but homely decor.

We had the most amazing dinner date at this place! The chef cooks the best Indian food we have ever tasted (and believe me, we HAVE tried maaaany different Indian restaurants in maaaaany different countries!). I recommend you to rely on the chef when you order because he has a special talent of figuring out what you will love on your plate! Someone who lives in the city recommended here and we weren't disappointed. One of us is a vegan and they are more than happy to accomodate. There are vegan choices and everything we tried was really tasty.

Having not had an Indian meal for a few months, we grabbed the opportunity of a visit to the city to finally have one.... And we were so glad we did. The food was delicious and the service very friendly and welcoming. We could rave all night about the food we ate, from the street food 'chat' to the dhal, beef madras or Chicken tikka. But it's just easier to say you have to give this place a try. We will definitely be back, time and again.

The range in the menu is small, but there are choices there for everyone and the food is excellent. Good place to go if you want to try, or are craving Indian food. Vegetarian and vegan choices on the menu. Naan bread seemed more like a chapati, but it was good and I’d recommend.

I recently dined here with 2 young children with a deadline to get to a concert. It was there 3rd night open and clearly still had issues with opening. But the welcome was superb, drinks prompt and delicious, the chef came out to discuss what was our expectations and what could be delivered. The food that came out far surpassed what I was expecting. The curries were rich and tasty and perfectly matched with rice and vegetable accompaniments. I wish this establishment all the successes in the future, they are working hard towards it. Sorry no time to take photos of food And their cutlery also is amazing
