Nice view with lots of seats. Safe for kids to run around. There's a playground nearby. The shop keepers may have done attitude LoL

nagyon jó luch - óriási kínálata a helyi ételeknek, nagyon kellemes atmoszférának a külső részen. a belvárosban, nem messze a nagy parkolóhelyektől.

This review is only for the ice cream served on the other side of the road and being also part of the Levendula Etterem.
The selection of sorbets and ice cream can please probably everyone. Some flavors which can not be found in the UK but made of fruits which reminds me my childhood and my granny orchard. We went for gooseberry, redcurrant, lavender, raspberry with mint. All of it truly delicious and portions are generous.
After little walk around Tihany we wanted to come back and eat something in the restaurant but waiter seem to be more busy smoking cigarette rather than convince us to stay therefore we walked out. In that case can not comment on food served in this establishment. Ice cream though thoroughly highly recommended.

Our group (about 20 people) spent a few hours in Tihany and stopped at Levendula for lunch. The facility is nicely done, with covered (and open) outdoor seating, beautiful flowers and well-maintained surroundings.
The menu was full of interesting choices...everything from large, 2-person meals to simple soups and salads. Since the weather was nice we decided to eat outiside (inside seating also available). The waiter was prompt and spoke English well enough to take our orders. Several in our group had the fried fish or chicken; I had the "traditional" Hungarian goulash. One couple tried the 2-person fried platter and said it was enough food for 4 people! All was tasty and my goulash was perfect with a lot of spice.
If you're in Tihany at mealtime, a stop here would certainly be recommended.

We visited in the dead of winter, around New Year's, so the restaurant was relatively empty. It is a bit pricier than other restaurants we visited, but the food was absolutely delicious. It was so great we drove out of our way to visit it again!
There was only one staff member on duty and he was eager to help us and friendly, though not very open. On our first visit I ate fish and my husband ate the duck. On our second visit we both had the duck :)
The duck was so tasty we're actively working the restaurant into our future plans when we visit Hungary again!

This is a lovely restaurant with an expansive and beautifully maintained outdoor terrace, including a small children's playground. We were a little disappointed that we weren't permitted to sit where the views over the lake were best, given that the restaurant was empty except for us.
The food was good but not outstanding, and despite asking three times for a side of fries they never arrived. The bread was stale. We were not able to pay with credit card despite stickers advising otherwise, but overall it was very pleasant.

We tried quite a few, but this definatly was a step above the other (also very good) restaurants. Definatly the best for food, service and quality in the area. We called it Tihanys 5***** restaurant. Bpon Appetit
